About Us

Since 2016, the LatinWE Foundation has offered scholarships of up to $ 2,000.  Awardees have either enrolled in classes to learn English, obtain certification in their professional field or take alternative education courses such as culinary, dressmaking, jewelry, floristry and decoration to name a few.  The scholarship includes counseling sessions with experts in different fields such as business, marketing, legal and financial to assist our members.

Lizzette Diaz lived the past 27 years of her life working in the communication, writings, television and radials in Colombia, where she descents and during the past fourteen years she resides in Houston. Her enormous passion for the journalism and most likely her desire to help the Houston Hispanic community to obtain access to information efficiently and objectively took her with her husband also a journalist, Pedro Arevalo, to create the company Penta Communications in the 2006.

Lizzette is the organizer of Housewives Club, the Expo Mujer, which is held in October and the Tribute to Hispanic women in which 25 outstanding Hispanic women are awarded to honor the celebration of the International Women’s Day in March.
